Choosing Welfare facilities for your business

We use the term ‘welfare’ to cover buildings that are used for things such as toilets, showers, changing rooms, drying rooms or kitchens and canteens, for instance. Our welfare buildings can be made up of portable cabins or modular buildings.

Why use modular or portable cabins for your welfare facilities?

Creating welfare facilities for your staff using portable or modular buildings will enable you to accommodate the needs of a growing workforce rapidly and with minimal disruption. A pre-constructed building makes it easy and economical for you to to provide for the welfare needs of an expanding workforce. A welfare block created using a portable or modular building will look smart, professional and permanent.

Design

Whether based on a portable cabin or a modular building, our welfare units are constructed using only high quality fittings and sanitary ware. Internal floors and walls are finished in vinyl making them highly suitable for environments where water is likely to be splashed and spilt. The vinyl finish is also hard wearing, hygienic and easily cleaned making for a very cost effective solution. We can, however offer different floor coverings, where suitable, such as cap & cove flooring or luxury vinyl. All the finishes are available in a range of colours and styles.

We offer several upgrades to the external finish so we can always ensure your new building will fit in visually with its surroundings. An example of an external upgrade would be timber cladding, which makes the building aesthetically pleasing.

Windows are double glazed, aiding comfort and energy efficiency. Walls, floor and ceiling are all insulated keeping the building warm in the winter but pleasantly cool in the summer months. Buildings come with all necessary plumbing and electrics and are equipped with electric heating and LED lighting.

Speed

As with all of our buildings, construction is largely done off-site thus ensuring that installation and commissioning of your new building happens in days, not months. Our portable cabins are craned into position and so long as the utilities are present and the ground is firm and level then very little additional preparation is needed. In the vast majority of cases, a portable cabin will be ready to use on the day of delivery. Modular buildings require more preparation but, of course, will provide a more permanent solution. Even taking this into account, once the base foundations have been created and the required utilities are installed, your modular building will be ready to be used within days a weeks, depending on the size and specifications.
