This project was slightly different to most in that Caterpillar already had a pre-approved budget so it was a case of which Modular supplier could give them the most for their money or put another way – best value. We were able to supply a four-bay modular building manufactured off-site and then delivered to their Leicester site. The building required a number of High-Tec internal specifications with a ventilated laboratory and soundproofed internal walls, floors, and ceilings. This was to provide a quiet environment, allowing the office staff to work undisturbed by the operations of the lab. The office designed dado trunking, data points and floor boxes and finally the addition of kitchen facilities to provide a self-sufficient unit for a number of staff.
